Current needs:

  • Workers in Sheridan - We need people to cut out flannel graphs, pack seeds into zip lock bags, pack duffle bags, move heavy boxes, help around the office….. If you are willing, we can use you.
  • To build a second floor onto the Haripur Christian School in Nepal - This would allow them to teach another 200 children. Cost of the project is estimated at $14,000.
  • Greenhouse in Lipova, Romania – On a trip a few years ago to Romania we took in vegetable seeds to an orphanage that had a greenhouse sitting empty. They soon began growing tomato plants 6 feet tall! Due to the success of that greenhouse, they began looking to build a new greenhouse that could be heated and used in the winter, but the cost was much too high… over $15,000! They recently found a used one for $4,000 and we are looking to raise part of the support for them to purchase it and are working to raise the necessary funds to construct the foundation.
  • Spanish Bibles – We are working on buying 40,000 Spanish Bibles for Cuba to possibly be shipped in by container through another country. The cost of each Bible will be $2.80.
  • Burmese Bibles – We are also trying to buy 20,000 Burmese Bibles for Myanmar (Burma). The cost of each Bible looks to be $3.50 each.
  • Hand Wind Tape Players – On our last trip to India, we were asked to help provide 1,000 hand wind tape players into northeast India. We are purchasing those for $10 ($10,000 total) a piece and will be focusing on trying to get those moved into India in 2006. We would like to provide an additional 500 Players for use in Laos, Myanmar and China.
  • Land for Church in Nepal – The Kumani Church in Nepal is looking to purchase land for a bigger church building. We are trying to help them raise $1,500 to buy the land.
  • Land for Orphanage in Kathmandu, Nepal – Our hope is to raise $150,000 to purchase land and build a new building for an orphanage we work with in Kathmandu. There are currently 57 children at this orphanage and space is becoming a problem in the house. We have raised over $15,000 toward the purchase of land as this project will be done in three phases, land purchase, building construction and other out buildings used for vocational training.
  • Karen New Testaments- For Karen Christians who are being persecuted by the Burmese military. It is estimated that there are over 140,000 Karen refugees, many of whom are being driven from their homes and are fleeing to refugee camps in northern Thailand. New Testaments are $1 each.
  • Romanian Bibles- We are hoping to provide as many as 10,000 Bibles to the people of Romania over the next year. Cost per Bible is about $4.
  • Christian School in Surkhet, Nepal- Centered in a very destitute and war-torn area of western Nepal, this school would initially help 60 children but eventually could help educate up to twice that. Cost of the project is estimated at $8,000.
